About us at CairoBeauty
Our Story
CairoBeauty officially launched in June of 2020 and we are based in Honolulu, Hawaii. CairoBeauty is named after our founder's cat, Cairo.
Cairo was rescued from the street when he was 2 months old. He was severely underweight, only having patches of fur, full of parasites/worms, and terribly scared. He was taken to the vet first thing and was treated immediately. Adjusting to home life for him was hard at first, but eventually he slowly started coming out to play, eat, and use the bathroom. Before we knew it, Cairo was growing back all his fur, had no more parasites/worms, and is at a perfectly healthy weight! Now he is in a very loving home and is healthier than ever!

We built this brand from a place that’s deeply personal. Our founder has always had a love for animals—growing up, she was the one bringing strays home, rescuing animals off the street, and dreaming of one day opening her own animal shelter.
At the same time, she was drawn to beauty and self-expression, eventually working as a freelance makeup artist and finding joy in helping people feel confident and seen.
This brand came from the desire to bring those two worlds together. We wanted to create beauty products that support confidence while still contributing to something bigger—something that truly aligns with our values. Staying cruelty-free, honoring individuality, and giving back to animal shelters aren’t side notes for us; they’re part of the reason this brand exists.
At its heart, this is about combining beauty with intention—creating something kind, meaningful, and rooted in compassion for both people and animals.

Meet the Founder
My name is Sophia
Before launching CairoBeauty, Sophia worked as a freelance makeup artist, where she saw firsthand the power of beauty to transform how people feel about themselves. Helping customers feel confident, comfortable, and seen became the foundation of her approach to beauty—one rooted in intention rather than excess.
That perspective deepened through personal experience with animal rescue, inspiring Sophia to build a brand that reflects both her passion for beauty and her commitment to ethical responsibility. CairoBeauty is named after Cairo, her rescue cat, whose recovery reinforced the value of compassion, confidence, and consistency—principles now woven into the brand’s core.
Today, Sophia continues to grow CairoBeauty as a cruelty-free, locally based brand with built-in giving to animal shelters.
